The Admission on Motion procedure in Pennsylvania is based on bar reciprocity. Attorneys must be members of the Bar of a reciprocal state at the time the application for admission is filed.

The 175 scored questions on the MBE are distributed evenly, with 25 questions from each of the seven subject areas: Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Evidence, Real Property, and Torts. Each of the questions on the MBE is followed by four possible answers.

How many MBE questions do you need to get right to pass?
We’ll say you should aim for a raw score of about 115. This raw score is the number correct that an examinee got out of 190. So, do the math: 115/190 = 60.52%. That is the approximate percentage of questions that you need to answer correctly to “pass” the MBE in a state that requires a 133 as a passing MBE score.
